Whenua Home Learning
In Whenua we understand learning at home will look quite different for our younger learners. Linked here is a list of activities that you can be doing over the next few weeks with your children, please note these are just suggested activities and are in no way compulsory. Please check back to this link regularly as we will be adding activities throughout the school closure period.
Last week we sent home Seesaw Home Learning Codes as well as an activity about your child’s ‘Special Place’. If you haven’t yet downloaded the Seesaw Class app please do so. We will send out a learning activity each school day via Seesaw that you can complete with your child if you wish. We do not intend these activities to replace the learning that would have been happening in the classroom but rather just be some ideas of things you can do at home together.
Some children in our syndicate will be able to access digital reading books from home. If that is your child their class teacher will send you an email with details about how to set this up. Remember the most important thing you can do to support your child’s learning during this time is to enjoy books together, spending some time talking about what you are reading. Don’t forget there are many more activity ideas in the link above.
